Vision for a Dream Center

Our vision is to see thousands of people restored and empowered to achieve the dream that God has for them. God has given us a Dream of a Dream Center In Mishawaka. A dream Center is about people - a place of unconditional love, acceptance and forgiveness. As people experience the love and compassion of God, a new generation will arise to lift their families and neighborhoods from poverty to prosperity, from crime to caring, from brokenness to blessing, from sickness to soundness, from fear to freedom! The mission of the Dream Center is to provide social services and outreach programs designed to meet both physical and spiritual needs.

The programs that will be in place:
Teen Discipleship is a place where teenagers grow spiritually, emotionally, and academically, through mentoring, discipleship, and relationship with a staff that honors the dignity of each individual student. Students will leave our program with the skills necessary to succeed in and contribute positively to their families, schools, and communities.
Adult Computer classes will be open to the public!
Work Force Management/Rehabilitation will assist those entering (or re-entering) the workforce or those who need additional academic support by providing a computer lab and education center with software and classes that teach math, reading, ACT/SAT preparation, and job skills training. designed to help adults improve their computer skills and enhance their employment opportunities.
Adopt-a-Block is more than an event; it is an active pursuit of claiming the community for Christ. The largest part of the ministry takes place on Saturday mornings when Christians gather, bringing the necessary supplies to meet the needs on the blocks, which have been literally adopted. A few Saturday-morning hours and tools as simple as lawnmowers, rakes or paint brushes are more than enough to affect a powerful change in the community. These few weekly hours are building bridges for the Gospel to cross. The beauty of Adopt-a-Block is that a person does not have to be a highly trained minister in order to take part. Anyone who loves God, loves people, and has a willingness to serve can play a vital role in this ministry.
Outreach in the heart of many urban communities is a silent population of low-to-no income families that are struggling to not only pay their bills but to put food on the table and to meet basic needs. The high unemployment rate, the massive loss of jobs and erosion of middle-class income has made it difficult for struggling families to obtain the basic living necessities such as: groceries, clothing, hygeine supplies and much more. The Dream Center will partner with local food banks and food pantries to help provide and distribute donated goods to those who need help. Clothing and Apparel Distribution will also work to distribute clothing to those who cannot afford it by purchasing and soliciting donated items from citizens and local department stores.
We also plan to have a place for youth to come and hang out playing basketball, listening to music, and enjoying fellowship in a safe non threating enviroment.

We want to create a world without hunger and without hurt.
We want to create a world WITH hope. You can help us today.
In these dire economic times, multitudes are in need, many are desperate.
However, despite these times of uncertainty, there is one thing that is CERTAIN: Together we can shed abroad HOPE PEACE & JOY to those who need it.
One can't do it, a few can't do it. But when an multitudes invade a community in need it is changed forever. That is the power of COMPASSION.

Whether it is helping us network, preparing meals, distributing clothing and supplies*We need your help! The truth is, we all have the responsibility to be involved in the welfare of the community of which we live.

A Year For Renewed Hope

As we looked over 2010 we thought about the devastating events involving our lives and the lives of everyday people just like us, people who were going about their normal days in their jobs, in their homes, in their cars, trying to make ends meet. How do these families that we love and care for survive all of these catastrophes, when they had homes destroyed before their very eyes, lost jobs they held for years, looked for work to no avail, or must now deal with the shock and grief of saying goodbye to a loved one – how do they cope? How do they deal with such a great loss? How do they start all over again? The answer is Hope. Hope can change how we see ourselves, change what we value, it will affect what we do with our lives, our talents, and will give us joy and peace! We want you to know, that no matter what you are going through in the present or what has happened to you in the past, We know that God promises to go with you and that you can start all over with renewed hope.

"But now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."
1st Corinthians 13:13.

Thanksgiving 2010

November is here and Thanksgiving is just around the corner. The turkey is highly nervous because he knows his days are numbered, just like Satan.

Christmas is staring us in the face, Christmas 2010, can you believe it? Well, back to Thanksgiving.

We are given so many reasons to be greatful in our lives, it reminds us of what the Word says.

“Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;” Ephesians 5:20

The instruction to give thanks appears 35 times in Scripture. We have been given the mandate and privilege of giving thanks daily for the blessing of Jesus Christ who is the atoning sacrifice for our sins. (Romans 3:25) We can also be thankful for the iblessings we now have and those awaiting us in eternity. We are to give thanks always for all things.“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Thanksgiving Day is a holiday instituted in America to pause and give thanks for all we have, and we are so Thankful that we have all of you in our lives!

Are you and the ones you love prepared to meet Jesus?

The Bible gives many examples of signs that should warn us of the coming end of the age. Six such signs are given by Jesus, two characteristics are given by Paul. While we are also told we will not know the time of the End, God obviously wanted us to know when that time was getting closer. As the Christian church is increasingly drawn into a passive lifestyle, and as more and more churches go to sleep through the growing attacks on their faith, perhaps God knew it would take a few signs to wake us up and remind us that we have work to do.

It is increasingly obvious that the time of our Lord's coming is drawing near. Prophecy is being fulfilled daily, and at a faster pace than ever before. The beginning of the signs of the times should have the same effect on all of us. It should motivate us to save as many souls as we can in the time that we have left. The Great Commission tells us to be disciples to all nations, bringing the message of salvation through Christ to all people. It is important that we leave behind an explanation for the trials and judgments those left behind will face. How else will they recognize the deception of the anti-Christ and seek instead the truth of the Bible?

And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

HOW TO BE BORN AGAIN:
How do people become “saved” and “born again” Christians? How can you receive eternal life so that you will be sure to go to be with God when you die?

Admit that you are a sinner.
The Bible says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
Know that God has already provided for your salvation.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son [Jesus Christ] that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Know that you cannot save yourself.
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to his mercy he saved us” (Titus 3:5).
Repent of your sins.
“Except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).

Ask Jesus Christ to save you.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13) and “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31).

Proclaim Jesus before others.
“If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9, 10).

You can be joyously “saved” and “born again” and receive eternal life right NOW, as millions of people worldwide have, when you receive Jesus Christ as your Savior. Born-again Christians overwhelmingly look at their salvation as the most exciting event in their lives.

A guide to what to pray:

“Dear Father in Heaven, I realize that I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins [wrongdoings]. I am willing to turn from my sins and lead the life you want me to lead. I now ask Jesus Christ to come into my heart and I receive Him into my life as my personal Savior. I am willing, by God's grace, to follow and obey Christ as the Lord of my life. Please forgive me for my sins and save me”

How to take your road to victory and attain your promise land

We will all ultimately end up leaving this earth behind. What will be your legacy when you are gone? What will your friends and family remember about you? What will your peers remember?

Will it be a legacy like Mother Theresa, Princess Diana, or even Kenneth Hagin? That you walked in love, reached out to those in need? Will it be that you found your gift, developed in, and achieved everything you were created to achieve? Someone who had a vision, put hard work, and commitment behind it, or will it be like so many people we all know that started out okay, had a dream, but somewhere along their journey they fell short?

What will the Lord say when you meet him face to face? Will He say well done thy good and faithful servant, or will He say depart from me I knew you not?

So what happens in life that steals your promises? choices and disobedience

The first key to possessing your promise land is obedience. God promises to give you a vision, but when He speaks to you, that is when your choices come into play, and what you decide will ultimately decide your level of success.

There is no one on earth that was created the way that you were, to accomplish the task that you were created to accomplish. God has placed you here to fulfill your destiny, but you have a part to play. God wants to bless you, to provide for you, to heal your heart and body, and to give you peace, but if you never heed His voice you are getting in His way. Lets take a look at Moses:

In the Bible in Numbers 20:12 We are given an example of the consequences for disobedience. Even though Moses technically accomplished the goal, he lost the chance to enter his promise land because he wanted to do things his say rather than being obedient to how God had told him to reach the goal. You see we can think that we are taking the steps necessary to reach the goal, but if we do it our own way and not God's way we can miss out on what the perfect plan for our life is.

Sometimes we look at our life and we start to justify we can not be successful. We think and say things like I am not smart enough, I don't have the right education, I am not pretty enough, I am trash, but God says that You were designed with a purpose, that you are special, that you are unique, and that you are created in the image of God! Sometimes we just get tired, we don't want to try anymore, we have had our heart and dreams broken and we don't want to try anymore. Isaiah 40:28-31 says that when we are tired and we want to give up God will be our strength. Rest in that

The Bible says that his yoke is easy and His burden is light, so if you are feeling burdened and heavy you have probably started to walk away from God, not praying, not spending time in the Bible, and not remembering how much He loves you, and how He promised to help you through the hard times in life. Have you ever tried to work on a car with the wrong tools. Did you get upset because the parts did not fit correctly? Did the job take longer than it should? Now imagine if your car broke down and you had a state of the art garage to take it to. All of the tools fit perfectly, the lift was perfect. Can you see how that same job would go faster and smoother? That how it is with God. When we walk close to him our task is easier, but when we start to get away from him, the road is harder and we start to get upset, and wonder if we will ever be able to complete it.

So Remind yourself that His love endures forever, Don't be afraid to dream, remind yourself that the Lord is your helper, and don't get discouraged. John 8:36 says when the Son sets you free, you are free indeed. So put yesterdays mistakes behind you, Recognize your failures, ask for forgiveness, and accept God's love.

Gods plan for our life is so much better than our own. He placed gifts, talents, and skills inside each one of us. Things that if developed will equip us not only for this earth, but for eternity. God knows you by name, he numbered the hairs on your head, he knew every mistake we would make and He loved us anyway. So let's go accomplish something great*

What the Lord has shown you is the vision but you must be tenacious enough to see it manifest. You have to believe God no matter what it looks like, and be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit by stepping out on what seems like the impossible, and believing what the Lord has spoken and established in your life. Dare to be different, dare to step out, dare to believe! The most difficult barrier to break through is the one from your mind to your feet. Your past can no longer hold you. unworthiness can no longer hold you, lack can no longer hold you, abuse can no longer hold you. Timidity can no longer hold you. BREAK FREE, you are more than a conqueror, move, You are precious, valuable and God's own creation. You cannot get to your destiny until you have it settled once and for all that you are one of a kind creation designed for the masters use.

Live an Uncommon Life

Following the crowd is easy to do. But that will only lead to a common, ordinary life that falls short of the potential God has in mind for you. If you dare to respond to your circumstances with uncommon faith, however, you’ll become a godly influence on all those around you.
Here’s how you can leave the common life behind and pursue an extraordinary life:
Make a choice to seek out the path that God has for your life. God has given us a unique purpose that we were created for.
Determine your path and begin to step out into what God has for you.
Refuse to allow the circumstances of life move you away from the promises that God has already given you.
Live what you believe.
Don’t be content to settle for taking the low, common road when God has called you to take the high, uncommon way through life. Show others through your life what radical love and powerful service look like. As you do, you’ll be establishing God’s kingdom on earth wherever you go, helping to bring about change for the better.

INDESCRIBABLE

We had a great service last night! We looked at just how small we are and how Huge God is. Using Indescribable by Louie Giglio, we looked out far into the universe at seemingly infinite expanse of mystery and wonder, intricately fashioned by God! As tiny as we may seem, the God who knows every star by name also knows yours and mine. In the most stunning rescue imaginable, God sent his son to this spinning planet we call home- The Creator reconnecting us to Himself with life that never ends.

The Promise

The Promises:

Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:31)

The peace of God invigorates us with renewed strength. We are no longer relegated to life worn out and exhausted, but can now soar with God through the power of His Holy Spirit. If we rest in God's strength, He will allow us to do things we never dreamed we were capable of. We can face life with the confidence that God will lead us through the difficult times.

Mishawaka Church Plant

We are looking forward launching on March 6th at Ice Athletic Center In Mishawaka. We will start at 7:00 pm on Saturday Night. I'm excited to tell you that what you have been waiting and praying for is about to happen. It's so amazing to see how God is continuing to go before us and meet our needs. When we initially put our plan together, we had no idea how quickly it would come to pass. As of November we were believing God to help us find the perfect location. Once again God reminded us that He is building His church and that He is our provider in both resources and people. After looking at locations well above our budget God opened the door to the perfect location well within our budget. From God having Michiana Community Church of God in Granger give us their extra sound equipment, to finding the location, we are seeing everything come together for the Launch in just a few short weeks. God is so amazing! What's most exciting is that God is doing all of this through prayers coming from across the globe in 7 different countries! Currently we're really heavy into the marketing our launch. From ordering the signs, setting up our ad on www.michianaguide.com, and setting up banner ads with WNDU on www.wndu.com. Please pray that this will be effective and that we will have wisdom in this area. We are believing God and ask you to please pray that everything will come together for our launch on March 6th. We are believing God for big things at The Warehouse Church In Mishawaka.
